Several weeks ago when the TSX Venture was on its back due to tax loss selling I warned its planting time not selling time predicting a year end breakout in gold and the junior miners. Now gold has rallied pretty much everyday for 2 straight weeks making it short term overbought after a powerful breakout move into new 7 year highs. Don't be surprised for a little profit taking along the way as precious metals bulls who have been beaten down for so long are finally able to take some gains as gold is overbought because of the recent instability in Iraq over the killing of the Iranian General by the USA.

TSX Venture Testing All Time Lows: Time for Planting Not Selling

The next big event is next week in Zurich. I hope to see the juniors get some attention but tax loss selling season is near and there has been non stop selling on the Venture since the beginning of 2018. The Venture could test last years lows or even worse see a final capitulation waterfall decline to break through 2015 lows. Today Libero announced sampling results which confirm a new gold discovery. "5 contiguous 50 metre continuous rock chip samples returned intervals of 2.91 grams per tonne gold over 250 metres including 6.14 grams per tonne gold over 100 metres in two contiguous samples." Drilling this September could confirm another major Golden Triangle Discovery that hardly no one knows about yet.
